From early November till mid January I participated in three Colombian events, presenting the sport via aerobatic air shows with fellow acro pilot Edward Parra Londoño. Getting to know a large part of the country and flying on various spots was eye opening. The local people are incredibly hospitable and during my stay I was well taken care of. Inhabitants of Colombia have a big heart and they are willing to share all they can, all with a big smile on their face.

The country has enormous potential for free flying. Some of it is already tapped and for example Roldanillo is one of the most popular flying spots in the world. On the other hand some parts of mountain ranges were never flown before. This opens the door for big exploration projects and I am sure I will return one day to discover these unknown paragliding spots.
