Hike & Fly

In the past decade or two paragliding changed and became more comfortable, especially in the European Alps. Pilots no longer hike in order to get up to be able to fly. Paragliding around Liberec

The northern part of the Czech Republic provides space for a lot of outdoor activities like biking, hiking or skiing and snowboarding in the winter. The local hills around the Liberec region are also used for paragliding, hang-gliding and other sports. The paragliding terrain called Rašovka is located on the southern side of the mountain range that peaks above the city Liberec. It is easily accessible from the highway and just about 100km from Prague, 20km from the Liberec city center. The spot is great for various southern winds (SE, SSE, S, SSW, SW/140°-230°). With around 350m vertical there is enough time to find some thermals and enjoy a decent flight! Read more...
